What makes Solo Leveling so special (or not) for you?

Hey everybody Ive been an anime fan for many years and have discovered a lot of different genres and styles over time. I started with shows like Bleach and Fairy Tail before getting into series like Evangelion Vinland Saga Frieren Attack on Titan and especially Sangatsu no Lion. Despite this evolution I still really appreciate more accessible shows like Toradora. Lately Ive noticed Solo Leveling is highly rated and Im honestly a bit torn. I thought the animation and action were great and the series was visually impressive. But when I try to look for more depth in the characters or story I find it hard to understand the high rating. Outside of the protagonist the characters seem pretty onedimensional and the plot seems to focus mainly on powerups. This isnt meant to be a criticism and Im not trying to say that one series is better than another. But Im wondering if Im missing something or if theres a different perspective. So Id like to ask you all: 1. What personally makes Solo Leveling good or bad for you? 2. How long have you been watching anime? Im looking forward to your opinions and a good discussion
