Season 2 is better than season 1 hands down. Spoilers going forward: The whole Pickle War Saga is one of the best. I greatly enjoyed it my only complaint is that some of those guys should have died. Like Katsumi. Bro had his whole arm ripped off and was bleeding out on the grass for like at least 10 minutes and hes just fine. And they teased us with Gaia also being there but he doesnt get another fight. In fact a large amount of people do not get a fight with Pickle. And I wish there were more. But for what it was it was really good Pickle even though he said no words I actually liked his character. Now the last saga the Strongest Father and Child Quarrel Saga is the best Baki saga ever. Period. I dont think itll ever get beat. Even if they do come out with a season 3. There is just so much to like. Yujiros change in personality towards his son once Baki decides that he actually wants a relationship. Its so fun to just see them... be father and son. For the first time in the whole series. And it brings to light how Yujiro feels so alone during the final fight Its amazing This saga really brought out the best in every character. If this is the end of the series for good its a great end which so many show mainly anime struggle with having. But this season still had flaws like I mentioned. But some others are.. cause were most likely not getting a season 3 there are a lot of loose plot threads. Theres a boxing saga with Retsu which is cool but he meets the world champ.. and thats that. I wish we saw more from that but to be fair it is about Baki and Yujiro. And speaking of which there are a lot of weird moments in that fight with baki and Yujiro like Baki pissing himself which adds nothing to the fight and just makes it weird. Than theres this new attack from Yujiros dad which kinda comes out of nowhere since weve near heard about it ever. Like Yujiros dad has never come up at least I cant remember if he has. But I did like the Retsu vs Smoking Joe Fight. It shows us that boxing is still dangerious and it shows us some of the training Restu has done. And if we do get a season 3 I want to see more of it. Cause those fights were some of the best. In fact all the fights in season 2 are some of the best. Overall a 90 out of 100 seems like a fair score A.k.A a 9/10. Sure its flawed but it has some of the best story telling and fight scenes in the whole series and thats saying a lot. And I will say that this season is best enjoyed if you watched every single other Baki anime like I did. So if you want to see this season do that. Trust me youll thank me later. Or if you just like good fight scenes give this season a try anyway. The fights are damn good like ive said.
