INTRODUCTION Seitokai Yakuindomo is a comedy manga in 4koma format based almost entirely on silly jokes and sexual innuendos that accompany the reader through all of its 655 chapters. It makes no attempt at seriousness: comedy is both its plot and its greatest strength. THIS REVIEW WILL BE MOSTLY SPOILERFREE BUT THERE ISNT MUCH TO SPOIL ANYWAY PLOT AND PACING As mentioned earlier this manga doesnt really have a proper plotits a simple sliceoflife comedy filled with sexual jokes pretty much all the time. The story begins with Takatoshi Tsuda enrolling in a formerly allgirls school that just became coed. Shortly after arriving he gets recruited into the student council by the president Shino Amakusa. From there its a constant stream of absurd situations and endless innuendos. Despite its length the manga rarely feels heavy: the 4koma format makes each chapter quick and light to read. Of course once you get past chapter 400 or so the repetition starts to kick in a littlebut the character interactions and variety of settings help keep things fresh. Small spoiler free example: 350https://files.catbox.moe/mhkmrh.png CHARACTERS The characters are definitely the series biggest strength. Theyre all funny welldefined and each adds something different to the humor. Takatoshi Tsuda: The main protagonist. He mostly plays the straight man to the girls constant barrage of dirty jokes trying to keep things somewhat normal. Shino Amakusa: The student council president. Smart and beautiful but completely obsessed with innuendos. She drops them nonstop. Aria Shichijou: The council secretary and your classic rich girl. Her thoughts are often even more explicit than Shinos with scenes where embarrassing objects somehow magically appear in the classroom. Suzu Hagimura: The council treasurer. A genius with an IQ of 180 and easily the most mature of the group. Shes got a complex about her height she looks like a kid and a lot of the gags revolve around that. There are other recurring characters who also add value to the series but the main cast is more than enough to give you a good idea of the kind of humor youre in for. 350https://files.catbox.moe/t5vbw3.jpg ART AND VISUAL STYLE The art is clean consistent and welldone from start to finish. Characters are always recognizable and nicely drawn with simple but effective backgrounds. Reading is always clear and smooth. If youre not used to the 4koma format it might feel a bit awkward at first but you get used to it quicklyand it actually becomes a strength thanks to its fast pace and punchy delivery. FINAL THOUGHTS In short Seitokai Yakuindomo is a light nofrills comedyperfect for relaxing and having a good laugh without thinking too much. Despite its length it rarely gets boring though it might feel a bit repetitive over time. Id only recommend it to people who enjoy this kind of humor or to those whove already seen the anime and want more. If your first impression is that its not your thing chances are you wont change your mind later on. Hope you enjoyed the reviewif youre into this kind of comedy go for it 400https://files.catbox.moe/x1i25k.png
